Appointee and Deputy Services

An appointee is someone authorised by the Department for Work and Pensions to manage someone’s finances who lacks the capacity to do this themselves. They are responsible for all state benefits and ensuring bills and care fees are paid as well as providing the person with personal allowance.

A Deputy is someone authorised by the Courts to manage someone’s complete financial affairs, this would usually be required when someone has a large amount of Capital or a Property is involved. Similar to an appointee they will be responsible for all state benefits and ensuring bills and care fees are paid as well as providing the person with personal allowance.
